Sachin Karnik does not give official diagnoses. Anyone interested in exploring possible diagnoses via a psycho-education is welcome to obtain an in-depth understanding of the nature of mental health problems. Services offered include in-depth exploratory dialogue and study of the DSM V as related to specific presenting problems or issues. Services DO NOT include: psychotherapy, development of treatment plans, or giving of DSM V diagnoses.
This approach is psycho-educational and exploratory in nature to understand one's own mental processes as understood by mental health professionals. Each person with a mental health issue needs to thoroughly understand the nature of the problem, clearly and accurately, for actual destruction of the problem (if possible).
In-depth exploration of etiology (possible causation) of mental diagnoses is offered as a service. If you have a mental health diagnosis and are interested in unraveling the CAUSATION (ETIOLOGY) of the diagnosis, several sessions would be conducted to thoroughly unravel the chain of events (internal/external) that have created the presence of a mental health diagnosis. This clarity will lead to taking the right steps, moving forwards. This clarity can possibly prevent cyclical entrapment in a mental health problem.
