EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATIONS ON DSM V

Over 60 % to 70% of all psychiatric medications are prescribed by primary care physicians and nurse practitionners. Presentations on understanding the DSM V are given so that accurate diagnoses can be made by PCP's and nurse practitioners, as well as knowing when to refer to psychiatrists, psychotherapists, and/or other mental health professionals. Etiology, Diagnosis, and Treatment Approaches are presented for DSM V disorders. An in depth overview of the DSM V is also offered. Each PCP and nurse practitioner should be familiar with the DSM V system and proceed with adequate treatment based on accurate diagnosis.
